Jenna Bullock
Operations Manager
Jenna hails from the Philadelphia area but has a special connection to Nantucket, having lived on the island from 2013 to 2020. Now working remotely from Philadelphia, she cherishes the memories and experiences she gained during her time on the island.
Her childhood dream of studying Marine Biology brought her to Nantucket, where she earned her undergraduate degree. Jenna also holds a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from UConn. With a solid background in finance and office management, she has thrived in her position at Atlantic Landscaping for the past nine years.
When not in the office, Jenna enjoys exploring the many trails and quiet wooded areas with her daughter. She loves to unwind at the beach after work, even on the cold, gray days, and finds joy in discovering a quiet nook on Coatue for a day of relaxation.
Jenna looks forward to her trips back to Nantucket and seizes any travel opportunity that comes her way. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors and indulging in metalsmithing.
Laura Holmes
Maintenance Director
Laura originally hails from Colombia and arrived on Nantucket through a two-year internship program after graduating college. During her internship, she met the love of her life, Gerry, and soon after, they married, making Nantucket their permanent home.
An Agricultural Engineer by training, Laura earned her degree from the National University of Colombia. Her background in gardening, agriculture, and planning uniquely positions her at Atlantic Landscaping. Additionally, her fluency in Spanish serves as a valuable asset, enhancing communication with both clients and the Hispanic community on the island.
What Laura loves most about Nantucket are the sun-soaked summer days that allow her to fully appreciate the island's natural beauty. With aspirations to travel more and one day own her own farmhouse, Laura's passion for the outdoors shines through in her daily life. In her spare time, she enjoys walking, savoring delicious meals, and spending time with her husband Gerry and their dog, Blueberry.
Lindsay Congleton
Founder
Born and raised in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, I headed south to the College of Charleston, where I earned my degree in Business and Finance — and, more importantly, met my wife Kirsten during freshman year. Kirsten, a true Nantucket Native, introduced me to the island she grew up on, and it didn't take long for me to fall in love with it. As the locals say, that made me a proud "Drag Ashore" — and I wouldn't have it any other way.
In 2004, I took over Atlantic Landscaping Inc. from founders Al and Beth Sorbello and have spent the past two decades building it into one of Nantucket's most trusted landscaping companies, growing from a small team of 3 employees to a crew of over 100. My passion for creating beautiful outdoor spaces runs deep — there's nothing more rewarding than transforming a property into something truly special on an island as unique as Nantucket. Beyond Atlantic Landscaping, I'm also a part owner of Nantucket Oasis Pool and Spa, Inc., Nantucket Oasis Pool Service Inc., and Island Rubbish Nantucket — businesses that reflect my commitment to the community I'm proud to call home.
At the heart of everything is family. Kirsten and I are the parents of four incredible kids — Ethan, Riley, Luci, and Sophie — and when I'm not working, you'll likely find us traveling around the country watching the boys play soccer, and at the girls’ gymnastics and ballet performances. Family, community, and a deep love for Nantucket are what drive everything I do — both on and off the job.
Marvia Hendricks
Accounts Receivable Specialist
Marvia first arrived on Nantucket over seventeen years ago, drawn by a work opportunity that quickly turned into a love affair with the island. Captivated by its peace, tranquility, and the warmth of its community, Nantucket soon became her home away from home.
A proud graduate of Northern Caribbean University, Marvia earned her bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a focus on Finance. With sixteen years of experience in the retail industry, she eagerly brought her exceptional customer service skills to the clientele at Atlantic Landscaping, where she continues to thrive as an Accounts Receivable Specialist.
Driven by a desire to be the best version of herself, Marvia believes that the sky is the limit. When she's not ensuring smooth operations at Atlantic, you can find her enjoying her favorite shows on HGTV and ION or spending quality time with her son.
Ryan King
Ryan King
Ryan made the journey from sunny Florida to Nantucket in 2021, following the love of his life. It didn’t take long for him to fall in love with the island's close-knit community and the tranquility that comes with nine months of quietude each year.
With a deep passion for the outdoors, Ryan pursued a career in golf and horticulture, earning his degree from the University of Florida. He spent a decade as a golf course superintendent in Florida before shifting his focus more toward the horticultural aspects of his studies.
Upon relocating to the island, Ryan jumped at the opportunity to join Atlantic Landscaping as the Director of Maintenance. He has quickly built a reputation among his team for being knowledgeable, practical, and approachable, always staying abreast of the latest environmentally-friendly products and equipment.
Ryan dreams of owning a home on Nantucket and retiring here, where he can soak in the island's beauty. When he's not at Atlantic, you can find him enjoying basketball, golfing, or diving into his favorite video games.
Sherri Metcalfe
Accounts Receivable Specialist
Sherri originally hails from upstate New York, where she spent her early childhood and teenage years visiting family on Nantucket. It didn’t take long for her to fall in love with the island’s beauty and vibrant community, leading her to begin working seasonally in 2018 before making the move to call Nantucket home full-time in 2021.
A proud recipient of an associate’s degree in social sciences, Hospitality, and Accounting, Sherri brings a meticulous approach to her role as an Accounts Payables Specialist at Atlantic Landscaping. Her reputation for outstanding customer service and diligent preparation of tasks shines through in everything she does.
Sherri dreams of owning her forever home on this beautiful island while also exploring the world beyond. In her free time, she enjoys the natural beauty of Nantucket by walking its trails and beaches with her family, and she’s always up for a fun game night or cozy movie evening.
Wilmer Ortiz
Construction Manager
Wilmer grew up in Honduras and first visited Nantucket with family, quickly falling in love with the island's charm and community. Its small size and abundance of work made it an ideal place for him to call home.
He joined Atlantic Landscaping in 2011 as a laborer, and through his dedication and expertise in operating machinery, he soon advanced to the role of Construction Manager. Driven by a passion for learning, Wilmer continuously seeks to deepen his knowledge of the construction side of the business.
With a dream of owning a home on Nantucket, Wilmer is committed to expanding his skills through seminars and hands-on experiences. He also aspires to teach his two boys the value of hard work and encourage them to believe that they can achieve anything they set their minds to.
Alisha Ranney
Designer and Enhancement Manager
Alisha serves as the Designer and Enhancements Manager at Atlantic Landscaping, bringing a wealth of experience and passion for the outdoors to her role. Originally from Townsend, Massachusetts, Alisha spent her summers on Nantucket with family friends, which ignited her love for the island.
Her educational journey led her to Burlington, Vermont, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in French Literature from St. Michael’s College and pursued a Master’s Degree in Architecture at Norwich University in Northfield. In 1995, Alisha moved to Nantucket, spending her summers working for a small landscaping company between semesters. She then honed her skills in a residential architecture firm from 1999 to 2016 before returning to a career that allows her to work closely with nature while focusing on design.
What Alisha loves most about Nantucket is its small-town quality of life and the quaint, simple beauty that surrounds her. Her goals are to stay active, appreciate the natural environment, and continue to be immersed in the outdoors.
In her free time, Alisha enjoys spending quality moments with her family—her adult son and daughter—and walking her rescue Boxer mix dog. She is also an avid horse enthusiast and has worked as a natural hoof trimmer since 2004, finding joy in caring for her horse and fostering a connection with nature.
